Ditch your cable/satellite - Save money!

One of the things I love about technology is all of the options it gives us.  Younger generations are realizing they don't need cable or satellite to watch their favorite shows.  Many shows are posted online to watch when you want.  For those of you like me that do not like to watch television shows or movies on your computer, there are devices like Roku that allows you to stream shows and movies directly to your TV.  The price for the Roku ranges from $59 - $99.

Amazon Instant Video
With Roku, you can subscribe to Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu Plus, and many more.  They also offer free programming.  To get your local TV stations you can purchase an HD antenna and get those stations for free.  They are usually better quality because cable and satellite companies compress the signal.  Then you could purchase a couple of options to get the rest of your shows and on-demand movies.  Hulu Plus is only $7 per month and Amazon Instant Video is $69 per year.  Most people pay more than $69 each month and still don't have access to all of the movies Amazon offers.  Your potential savings could be close to $1,000 per year!  Just think what you could do with those savings.
